Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Sandhwan extended a warm welcome to the distinguished recipients, praising their exemplary service and dedication across sectors. He also expressed gratitude to the members of the organizing institution for successfully hosting the event and congratulated all awardees for their achievements.
Sandhwan stated that it was a matter of pride and honour to present the “Bharat Vibhushan Samman 2026” to such deserving individuals. He emphasized that recognizing excellence on such a platform serves as a powerful source of inspiration for society. He further highlighted that the ceremony was not merely an award distribution event but a reflection of India’s talent and commitment to progress.
Referring to the guiding principles of the nation’s spiritual heritage, Sandhwan noted that the teachings of the Gurus advocate the welfare of all. He remarked that the honoured personalities have embraced selfless service as their life’s mission and have emerged as leaders in their respective fields while inspiring others through their contributions.
He underscored that individuals from education, science, art, literature, social service, and industry have brought recognition to the state and the nation through their hard work, dedication, and vision. Their accomplishments, he said, demonstrate that any goal can be achieved through genuine passion and commitment. He added that their contributions extend beyond personal success, significantly impacting societal and national development.
The Speaker congratulated all members associated with the Institute for Social Reforms and Higher Education Charitable Trust for organizing the successful event. He commended the institution for its efforts in identifying talent from various states and backgrounds, thereby strengthening the spirit of unity in diversity. He expressed confidence that such collective initiatives would guide future generations.
Sandhwan also acknowledged the institution’s role in serving socially and economically weaker sections, women, and children, while contributing to fields such as education, healthcare, animal welfare, technology, media, and literature. The event was attended by legislators Brahm Shankar Jimpa, Inderjit Kaur Mann, Inderbir Singh Nijjar, and Kulwant Singh Pandori, along with spiritual leader Swami Brahm Muni Ji.
During the ceremony, Speaker Sandhwan presented a ceremonial shawl and memento to Swami Brahm Muni Ji. The organizing institution also honoured the Speaker and the Secretary of the Punjab Legislative Assembly with shawls and mementos.
